In this project, we explore Johannes Brahms’s Serenade No. 2, a rare and surprising work. Scored for orchestra without violins, it reveals the world of the young Brahms at twenty-five: his passions, friendships, first loves, and the symphonic dreams still ahead of him.
With the participation of Professor Clive Brown, scholar of Classical and Romantic performance practice.
